Administrative Detention, Transparency and Public Contracts: Report on the (Dis)services of the Trapani CPR

The report Administrative Detention, Transparency and Public Contracts: Report on the (Dis)services of the Trapani CPR, drafted by the Migration and Rights Legal Clinic of the University of Palermo together with ASGI, is now available.

The report sheds light on the violations occurring in the implementation of the public contract governing the CPR and the promised but unmet services—failures that often translate into violations of the rights of detained persons. Through freedom-of-information requests and other collected materials, we highlight how issues of transparency in the public contract, along with the lack of reliable sources on the rights and obligations of detainees, affect the protection of rights in the Trapani Milo CPR.
