About Us

CLEDU is an association of women and men committed to the protection of human rights and to combating discrimination.

At the Service of Rights and the Community

The Clinica Legale per i Diritti Umani (eng: Legal Clinic for Human Rights) – CLEDU ETS is a third-sector organization made up of women and men engaged in the promotion of human rights, both as legal professionals and as active members of the community. We work against discrimination and for a society and a legal system that are more just and equal for all.

CLEDU operates in the field of migration law, carrying out projects, organizing seminars, training courses, and educational activities—both classroom-based and experiential—as well as advocacy initiatives, research, and studies. The association also runs an open and free legal orientation and advice desk, where it engages weekly with real-world issues and the law, together with university students.

Our goals and our commitment

CLEDU’s goal is to promote and ensure the multidisciplinary protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, both in judicial and extrajudicial settings, through dialogue and engagement with all private, social, and institutional actors, and through the promotion of solidarity, inclusion, and social justice initiatives.

In particular, the association works on issues related to migration, asylum, statelessness, discrimination, trafficking and exploitation, social, political, and economic marginalization, restrictions or barriers to access to civil and social rights, unlawful, inhuman, or degrading detention, and the protection of linguistic guarantees and defense rights in criminal proceedings and in the execution of sentences.

Our network

CLEDU works closely with a broad network of associations and organizations, ensuring a comprehensive and pluralistic approach.
