The MIGRANTS project promoted an approach to migration phenomena beyond emergency-based logic, with the aim of improving international cooperation across the Mediterranean and strengthening migration governance capacities while promoting protection policies, cultural innovation, and sustainable development.
Specific objectives included:
- Establishing a joint Master’s programme in “Migration Studies: Governance, Policies and Cultures” among the three Tunisian partner universities.
- Implementing a three-year training programme for Tunisian academic staff through training, job shadowing, coaching, and mentoring, as well as supporting young researchers in obtaining a PhD at partner European universities.
- Disseminating and enhancing the project results to ensure cultural and economic impact, including the creation of an orientation plan for students from the Euro-Mediterranean region.
